Josette Jorge, acting teacher
Josette is an actor, clown, writer, director and casting director. She trained at Simon Fraser University’s School for the Contemporary Arts where she earned a degree in Theatre Performance. Josette holds several TV and Film credits under her belt including roles on the upcoming Canadian feature What Could Have Been, SyFy’s Stargate Universe, Nickelodeon’s The Troop, CityTV’s AZN Lifestyles TV and the award-winning Bloodshots Film Festival short A Fistful of Doll Hairs (As judged by Gremlins director Joe Dante).
She is the first recipient of Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre’s “Walk of Fame” award, which acknowledged her work with the Asian-Canadian theatre community as a director, writer and performer. She is also a recipient of the 30 under 30 award for the city of Delta.
Josette hones her comedy and improv skills with her sketch comedy ensemble The Darin’ Joes. Their latest show A Girl Named Doug will be a part of this year’s International Vancouver Fringe Festival.
