Tricia Collins
Tricia Collins is a screenwriter, actress and director. REACH, a short film about memory, is Tricia’s directorial debut.
Tricia has been a theatre and multi-disciplinary artist in Vancouver since graduating with a BFA in theatre from Simon Fraser University in 2003. Her acclaimed and internationally toured one-woman play Gravity touched audiences across Canada, in Guyana and Trinidad. Gravity was short-listed for the Reel Asian International Film Festival’s Pitch Competition and will also be adapted into short film.
Tricia recently wrote and produced a short art film entitled Memento Vita, and is finishing post production on a comedic short entitled Twyla’s Dirty Laundry. She holds a Master of Arts in Media from Ryerson University. Theatre credits include performing lead roles in Beaver by Claudia Dey, The Unnatural & Accidental Women at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Hours of Water and Women in Fish by Marie Clements as well as numerous radio plays for CBC Radio One.
Tricia has performed on-screen in several independent films and various television programs including Luna: Spirit of the Whale, The Guard, Supernatural, Eureka and Reaper. She is co-owner of Ring Out Media with Sound Designer Troy Slocum.
