STUDENT ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION POLICY
Beauty Programs

Spa Technician Diploma and Nail Technician Diploma is graded and evaluated based on the following:
- Professionalism
- Quizzes
- Projects
- Tests
- Written Exams
- Practical Exams
All course marks total 100.

Fashion and Film Make-up Design Diploma and/or The Beauty Make-up Certificate is graded and evaluated based on the following:
- Professionalism
- Quizzes & Assignments
- Written Exams
- Practical Exams
All course marks total 100.
International Students written exam may be open-book or oral, based on English Level.
Students will be reviewed at the end of each module by the instructor. If students’ performance is below 60%, a meeting will be conducted between the instructor and senior academic officer at which time the student will be placed on probation.
Students who fail to bring necessary supplies or fail to meet minimum professional attire may receive a 1% deduction for professionalism in that module. Details of dress requirements are as follows:

Make-up Students must be dressed in professional attire during class time.

Spa Tech Students must also be dressed in professional attire, however may only wear solid black and or white. Also, Spa Tech Students must wear their lab coats while in the spa.
Any student caught cheating may result in a suspension or immediate dismissal.
Graduation Diploma
A Diploma and transcript will be issued after the completion of the program and available for pickup within 45 days from the program completion date. Each student must successfully complete the following criteria to receive a Graduation Diploma/Certificate:

Attend a minimum of 80% of their program hours

Attain a minimum of 60% in their program marks
Non-Completion by the Graduation Date
Those students that have not completed the required hours may be charged $50.00 per day to complete their program.
If you are on a student loan from any Province in Canada your record will be submitted to student loans as incomplete.
Acting Programs
There are ten assessment categories, each of which has a potential value of 10 points for a total of possible 100 points. Each category has a rating potential from one (poor) through to ten (Excellent). A total of all the categories added together will give you a final score which is translated into a final grade.
The Categories of assessment for the acting program are as follows:

Assignments (each assignment has particular grade associated to it, e.g. History Essay)
