WITHDRAWAL POLICY
A Diploma and transcript will be issued after the completion of the program and available for pickup within 45 days from the program completion date on the graduation day. Each Student must successfully
Withdrawal of Student from Program of Study

Non-attendance does not constitute a written notice of withdrawal from the student pertaining to refunds.

A written letter is required for student withdrawal. The date of the letter is the date that a refund is calculated by.

Notice of dismissal to a student must be in written form, unless the student is being withdrawn by the school for lack of attendance.

Refunds are issued within a 30 day period from the time of the official withdrawal or cancellation date.
Students with BC Government Student Loans will be withdrawn for the following reasons:

Misses two consecutive calendar weeks of study (with the exception of the year-end break when schools are permitted to close for up to 3 weeks at the end of the calendar year).

Drops below 60% attendance for 3 consecutive calendar weeks of study.

Has missed sufficient days/hours that they can no longer successfully complete the program within the ministry-approved study period.
Criteria
Identifying a student withdrawal:

The student does not attend at all for 2 consecutive calendar weeks (Sunday to Saturday), he/she must be withdrawn

The student attends less than 12 hours (60% of 20) per week for 3 consecutive calendar weeks (Sunday to Saturday); he/she must be withdrawn.

The student misses sufficient hours/days that the school determines that the student cannot successfully complete the program; he/she must be withdrawn.

Not maintaining passing grades as per New Image College of Fine Arts.
New Image College of Fine Arts is obligated to abide by the regulations of Ministry of Advanced Education and Training in regards to CSL/BCSL Grant Funding. As such, no New Image College of Fine Arts representative will endorse the negotiations of a student loan for a student who has not maintained satisfactory attendance and/or grades. Refunds are calculated by the refund policy and there are no exceptions.
