Friday brought us the triumphant ending to our latest teen make-up career camp!
Eighteen talented young students finished the one-week camp with a catwalk make-up show for their peers and families. Wild creativity and wild colours were the order of the day as these aspiring artists, and their volunteer models took to the runway, showing off their brand-new skills in beauty, avant-garde, fashion and character make-up.
The grads enhanced their work with jewels, glitter, eyelashes and much more, and left New Image with their bonus mini make-up kit to continue their artistic passions at home. Certificates were introduced by make-up department head Ryan Nicholson with a short congratulatory speech by college owner Charie Van Dyke.
In addition to their certificates, each student also received a $1,000 scholarship to the New Image career program of their choice. We hope to see many of these talented young artists in future classes. Congratulations to all eighteen happy campers:
