License to thrill: New Image College and New Image Entertainment are coming to Seattle on May 25th for a whole weekend of horror as an official sponsor of Crypticon Seattle! We'll be there at the Hilton Seattle Airport and Conference Center for the whole weekend, running one of our hit make-up and effects demo booths, and telling the world about our chilling productions at New Image Entertainment.
Representing New Image is our make-up faculty head and New Image Entertainment staffer Ryan Nicholson, a Gemini Award-winning special effects artist with countless make-up credits in Hollywood and worldwide.
In addition to demonstrating his make-up wizardry at our demonstration booth all weekend long, Ryan will be on a panel of judges for Crypticon's new special effects and make-up competition! New Image will be rewarding the competition's winners with $40,000 in scholarships to kick-start the dream careers of some talented Crypticon-goers!
Crypticon is a major event for New Image and the West Coast film industry and we'd love to see you there. Join us the weekend of May 25 to 27 -- it promises to be a horrifically good time!

New Image student successes sweeping the industries of their dreams!
Congratulations to a recent crop of New Image make-up grads who've found success in their industries of choice!
Make-up grad Robert Lintner has launched his own new special effects company Kryptic Nerve Makeup & SFX. Make-up graduates Megan Nicholson and Manda Finnamore are currently working on-location on the Vancouver set of Grave Encounters 2, the sequel to the surprise hit horror flick. Make-up grad Jessica Martin was recently chosen to compete in the prestigious Modern Basic make-up competition, a mega-event at the Vancouver Convention Centre. We would also like to congratulate a few of our aesthetics graduates, now employed in their fields! Keiko Yamamuro was recently hired at Bliss Nail Spa. Denise Escalante was just hired as a specialist at Holt Renfrew's events department as a nail technician, in addition to her other new job at Bio-Ethic Boutique. Congratulations, ladies!
Bad Building acquired for international distribution; heading to Cannes Market!
We'd like to congratulate director Philip Granger and the cast and crew of his first feature for New Image Entertainment, BAD BUILDING. The rollercoaster horror-thriller, currently in post-production, has been acquired for international distribution by Industry Works Pictures. Bad Building is also heading to the Cannes film market in early June, with an all-new trailer and preview segments packed with thrills and exciting effects. Stay tuned for more announcements on that front!
Industry Works may be familiar to those on the New Image scene already; the company recently released the horror hit Dead Hooker in a Trunk, a neo-grindhouse epic written and directed by New Image acting graduates Jen and Sylvia Soska, and will be releasing their upcoming film American Mary as well.
Famine acquired for European distribution!
Congratulations to the cast and crew of New Image Entertainment's recently completed slasher-comedy Famine! The flick, directed by horror maestro and New Image make-up faculty head Ryan Nicholson, has been acquired for European distribution. Coming months will see the hilarious, colourfully grim "Porky's-meets-Slaughter-High" grue-fest released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, courtesy of international distributor Cult Movies Entertainment. More distribution will undoubtedly follow as Famine makes the festival circuit.
CME has a history with New Image; they also released New Image Entertainment and director Ryan Nicholson's previous joint production, Bleading Lady (under its original working title Star Vehicle).

The Beauty Advisor is responsible for developing deep, long lasting relationships with customers that lead to an increase in sales, service, and loyalty. Beauty Advisor compensation is commission-based and is directly tied to sales volume results. Upon reaching a volume of $600K, Beauty Advisors are equipped with additional clienteling tools.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
• Consistently deliver Holt Renfrew’s “Amazing Service, Amazing Sales” to all customers.
• Exceed all sales and service goals and targets.
• Build a loyal personal client base by constantly acquiring new customers, developing existing clients, and retaining loyal clients.
• Attend all educational sessions offered including product knowledge, vendor, and Holt Renfrew seminars.
• Perform floor recovery, visual merchandising, price change, and related sales support tasks.
• Communicate regularly with personal clients through phone, mail, and electronic methods regarding in-store events, merchandise requests, sales follow-up, birthdays, etc.
• Resolve all customer service issues and partner with selling management on any issues outside of guidelines.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.
The ideal candidate:
• High school diploma
• Proven ability to exceed sales targets
• Highly collaborative; working with and through others in a team-oriented environment
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision
• Able to work a flexible work schedule based on the needs of the customer that includes nights, weekends, and holidays
• Minimum of two or more years experience in a commission-based sales environment
• Make-up artistry or aesthetics certificate may be required for certain brands
• Prior retail sales experience in a luxury environment preferred
