Naomi Iizuka's modern, visceral adaptation of Ovid's ancient, epic Greek poem "Metamorphoses", is a story about living on the streets. It's a story about humanity and how every human being shares a common thread. We all need to love and be loved and yet we are vulnerable to the unparalleled destructive power of love itself if we allow ourselves to truly experience it. Each of us, whether homeless or otherwise, has a story of how we got there and a desire to find our path. Drugs, addiction, illogical love, fear, confusion and even life itself can lead us astray. It was true in Ovid's time. It's true today. Every human being has his or her own polaroid story.
