Anton Chekov's classic play, translated by David Mamet, was the first of the Russian Modern School of writing that revolutionized the theatre. The students of New Image College performed it with great skill and aplomb. This fascinating period piece, dealing with war and love, takes place in Russia at the turn of the century and is an interesting and challenging work for students of the theatre.
