Make-Up Artistry Classes

If so, the New Image professional fashion & film make-up artistry program might be for you!

Our make-up courses are comprehensive lessons in both the make-up trade and its business. We guide you through beauty essentials, fashion and bridal make-up, airbrushing and more. As you master the art of make-up in this year-long program, you'll progress from the basics to more advanced techniques: old-age make-up, wounds, gore and fantastic prosthetic special effects -- and finally you'll work on the glamourous beauty make-up and grisly special effects of a full-length feature film. Throughout, you'll receive hands-on training and industry advice from top Hollywood make-up and special effects wizards.

Film and fashion not your thing? We have options! If you want to specialize in only beauty, we offer a shorter beauty essentials certificate, giving you expertise in all manner of beauty and bridal make-up techniques.

Professional Film Acting Classes

To work as a professional actor isn't just a pipe dream here in Vancouver -- it's an everyday reality in our blossoming film industry! Through the many courses and skill training exercises of our two-year film acting program, you'll be guided through a journey of self-exploration and given the training and tools to master the craft of acting. This is an inspiring and life-changing acting program, taught by award-winning instructors with impeccable credentials, and covers an entire range of performances from live theatre and drama to films of several formats and genres with the ultimate goal of forging your raw talent into honed skills as you become an employable working actor in film and television.

There are two levels to our acting program, each preparing you for the challenges of new classes ahead, intensifying and building upon the previous. First build your foundational skills with our Film Acting Conservatory Year 1 Program and then hone your acting skills with our Film Acting Conservatory Year 2 Program.
