James Challis

James Challis is from beautiful Australia now residing in British Columbia. Originally James worked as a junior producer of a video production company called Fade In Productions specializing in corporate media and advertising, It was during these formative years that James learnt how to work with the camera, lighting and the editing process. He later set off for Vancouver to immerse himself in the acting scene, he trained with Michael Bean at Beatty st Studios, Scott Bromley at the Actors Chapel. Had private Coaching with Wesley Salter, Anastasia Bandey and Studied at the QUT BFA acting program in Queensland Australia. James also started “Actor Share” an actor collective workshop for people to practice their skills.

James’ theatre performances include The Cherry Orchard & Three Sisters by Checkov, Macbeth by Shakespeare, Emma by Jane Austin and Alan Ayckbourn’s Relatively Speaking. He has also had the privilege of performing at the Havana theatre in the independent success “Don’t Forget Your Pants” and “Feelings In the Window”. He toured A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Shakespeare Canada, James won the Audience Vote at the About Love festival (Tomo Suru Players) for his role in “Carrots Baby”. He also played Joey in “A Steady Rain” a 90 minute 2 character play by Keith Huff.
