    Summary:

    To maximize sales of beauty products and service sold by Shoppers Drug Mart to customers providing information, advice, application, counsel and instruction, while achieving excellence in sales and customer service.

    Core Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Promotes sales of cosmetic products; provides information on new and/or existing products and services.
    • Identifies customers needs and sells through demonstration and education.
    • Provides superior customer service and consultative services and demonstrations.
    • Promotes sales through encouraging customers to participate in the PC Optimum program.
    • Ensures prestige and term brands are tracked and that daily targets are achieved.
    • Seeks out development such as through workshop/education sessions to ensure product knowledge is current.
    • Promotes Assisted Selling to customers.
    • Builds loyalty through follow up and repeat business.
    • Resolves customer complaints within guidelines.
    • Uses tool and resources provided to demonstrate expertise, to build customer loyalty, and to grow sales.
    • Provides superior customer service through consultations, demonstrations (ex. makeup applications on smudge sheets, skincare consultations, and fragrance consultations.)
    • Actively uses eClienteling program to provide superior customer service and maximize sales.
    • Prepares displays and sets up promotions as directed by the Beauty Manager.
    • Adheres to Cosmetics Operating Standards.
    • Completes all required sales tracking forms.
    • Demonstrates a professional image, including clean and complete image guidelines, uniform as outlined in Store Standards with name badge, and full makeup only wearing cosmetic and fragrance brands that Shoppers Drug Mart sells.
    • Complies with all health and safety regulations.
    • Complies with loss prevention policies.
    • Acts professionally at all times.
    • Complies with all store policies and procedures.

    Qualifications (Required)

    • Good planning, judgement and decision making.
    • Time management skills.
    • Independent thinking and decision making skills.
    • Good cosmetics selling tactics.
    • Flexible availability (including weekends, evening shifts as late as 10pm, and holidays)
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to climb ladder.
    • Ability to bend and stretch to stock shelves.
    • Ability to work in a fragrance filled environment.
    • Punctual and reliable.
    • Passion for all things beauty (cosmetics, skincare, haircare, etc.)
    • Ability to demonstrate beauty products to customers through smudge sheets and describing products.

    Qualifications & Experience (Not required, but are considered an asset)

    • Previous retail experience.
    • Previous cash handling and POS experience.
    • Make Up Artistry or Aesthetician training.
    • Knowledge of cosmetic products.

    • Retail Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
    • Cosmetics/Beauty/Skincare: 1 year (Preferred)
