Job Description

Experienced Motion Picture Make-Up Artists required

IATSE Local 891 – The Union representing skilled artists and technicians in the motion picture industry is seeking qualified Make-Up Artists.

The Make-Up Artist is responsible for the application of facial and body make-up under the direction of the Key Make-Up Artist.

Candidates for this position must be able to work well within a team, and perform tasks as directed by their supervisor to ensure their deadlines are met in a high-pressure environment.

Make-Up Artist requirements:

  • The applicant should have 200 days of related make-up motion picture experience (on-set)
  • The applicant must have a diploma from a recognized government accredited make-up school or 100 days of additional proven motion picture work experience.
  • Must have WHMIS 2015
  • Motion Picture Industry Orientation Certificate
  • The applicant should have their own hygienic and sanitized make-up equipment kit

Short term work to start immediately in various locations within Metro Vancouver. This is the motion picture industry, expect to work a lot of overtime hours. Shift work may be required as well as weekend work. This position is physically demanding and involves work outdoors in all weather conditions.
