The Acting Teen Camp Intensive is a one-week workshop for those ages 12 to 20 who are inspired by the world of acting.

Teens who participate in this acting camp will learn the basics of some of the most classic and sought-after acting techniques with emphasis in comedy.

Here is what you can expect to learn in our teen makeup course. A day by day break down . . .

Day 1 – Introduction

  • What is acting?
  • Pretending to be someone else.
  • Act and react.
  • Becoming a character.
  • Performing.
  • Honesty.
  • Finding your space and where you fit in the Acting world.
  • The world of Comedy.
  • Headshots, Reels, Demos, Clips and Videos

Day 2 – Intro to Audition Technique / Script Analysis

  • Audition techniques
  • SLAB, sound lighting audio background
  • Off camera reader, eye lines
  • Examples of bad vs good auditions
  • Understanding a script Reading a script
  • Breaking down a scene

Day 3 – Single Cam Comedy / Fighting for objective

  • What is single cam comedy?
  • Comedy rules
  • Comedy terminology
  • Single camera comedy tips
  • Fighting for objective
  • Further script analysis
  • Five Ws: who, what, when, where, why

Day 3 – Multi-cam / The Multi-cam sitcom

  • What is multi-cam?
  • Assembly: script + episode
  • Feedback

Day 5 – Intro to thoughts and character

  • What does your character want?
  • Who is your character?
  • How do they dress?
  • How does your character act (voice and movement)?
  • Brief introduction on what “thoughts” are and how they can be helpful to your natural acting ability.
  • How to use “thoughts” when working with new material, and how to improve and develop your personal journey using thoughts.

Day 6 – Overview + private feedback

  • One-On-One work sessions
  • Final remarks
  • Review courses work including single camera and sitcom tape

  • Self-confidence and how to walk into a room
  • Profiles
  • Casting Directors
  • Headshot Photographers

  • Business for actors

At the end of this program, student will have a deeper understanding of acting and the practical ability to act. They will also gain foundational knowledge of the acting world and gain an introductory understanding of the comedy within acting.

Admission Requirements:

  • Completion of the online application.
  • A copy of Government Issued Photo ID.
  • All documents and forms must be signed by the parent or guardian.
  • Tuition fee payment.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of this program, student will have a deeper understanding of acting and the practical ability to act. They will also gain foundational knowledge of the acting world and gain an introductory understanding of the comedy within acting.

Completion Requirements:
Students must achieve 60% overall average of attendance to be awarded the award of completion and a $50.00 discount towards your next program.

Not included in tuition fees:
Basic school supplies including pens, pencils, highlighters, sharpeners, erasers, white-out, tape, scissors, binders, paper, etc.
