Johanna has been an artist for as long as she can remember. After high school, she did a 4-year art degree from Emily Carr University, following that with a diploma in Video Game Design from Vanarts, before finally coming to New Image for both the Fashion and Film Makeup Design Program as well as the Cutting Edge Advanced Prosthetics Program, finishing in 2019. She fully believes that every bit of art education can help you in your artistic endeavours moving forward, it all adds to your skills.
Johanna takes every opportunity to learn new skills and broaden her artistic repertoire. When she’s not teaching, she’s participating in various Indie projects and music videos that span from simple camera-ready looks to full creature effects, as well as constantly practicing SFX on herself to keep her skills sharp. She can be easy to spot around the school with her bright rainbow hair, and usually big makeup with the occasional SFX feature just to keep things fun!
Music videos include “Give This Up” and “Crazy” from Raincity, “Destroyed in Daylight” from Ophelia Falling, and “Bananas” from Sonreal.
