NIC gives back to the Vancouver Island theater community

New Image College gives back to the Vancouver Island theater community!

NIC’s acting department head, Philip Granger was sent to the University of Victoria to teach a master class in acting, at the Phoenix Theater.

NIC was also asked to adjudicate the Vancouver Island Thespian Society event. After Philip adjudicated, he gave a masterclass in Michael Chekhov’s acting theories.

During the workshop, Philip covered what it is to be confident, how to allow yourself to be present and how to bring your authentic self forward while acting. These are discovered through specific physical exercises designed for the actor. Something NIC feels is very important.

Congratulations to all the contestants!
