Mako Fujimoto performs for The Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival

Our Alumni Mako Fujimoto will be presenting her first-ever solo theatre performance as one of the performing artists at The Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival organized by the Community Arts Council of Vancouver.
This will also mark her debut as a writer!

The Vancouver Outsider Art Festival is the event to showcase the work of visual artists and performers outside of mainstream art institutions; including immigrants, LGBTQ, BIPOC, neurodivergent, all artists facing social exclusion and other barriers.

Now in its 6th year, the festival will feature about 40 visual artists and 15 performers. The festival itself will be happening from October 12th to 17th at Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Center.

The Last Hour of A Death Row Inmate

Synopsis:
The girl, sentenced to death for the massacre of an entire family, has only one hour left. The sand in the hourglass silently slips away. The priest who came to hear her confession tells her, “You didn’t kill anyone…”
She is agitated. Only one-third of the sand remains in the hourglass.
In her final moments, she begins to reveal the truth…
