Jaycie Dotin

Jaycie Dotin is an accomplished stage, film, and television actor with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She is a dual citizen but originally hails from Akron, Ohio. As a young girl, Jaycie was inspired to become a professional entertainer by her father, Richard Dotin, the lead vocalist/keyboard player of the Billboard Award-nominated disco band, LaFlavour. Jaycie attended the BFA program at Wright State University, where she majored in musical theatre and further expanded her creative education by studying interior design at the esteemed British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Early on in her performing arts career, Jaycie was offered a lead vocalist role for Holland America cruise lines, a stepping stone that paved the way for lead roles in multiple Princess Cruises headliner shows. In 2009, Jaycie landed the lead vocalist position in the internationally acclaimed production “Donn Arden’s: Jubilee” at Bally’s Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Shortly after, Jaycie made the move to Los Angeles, where she became a sought-after presence in the commercial world, representing prominent global brands including Clorox, Crayola, and Dr. Scholl’s. Her dedication and vibrancy were duly recognized when she earned a coveted Ovation Award nomination, a testament to her high-energy portrayal of Brooke Wyndham in the theatrical sensation “Legally Blonde the Musical.”

The next step in Jaycie’s career took her on an international journey with the Broadway Tour of “Jersey Boys the Musical,” where she embodied the character of “Loraine” and captivated audiences for several years. After her time on tour ended, Jaycie took her talents over the border and settled in beautiful Vancouver, BC, affectionately known as Hollywood North. She quickly made her mark in the film & television industry and was honoured to have the opportunity to work with heavy hitters like the Peter Farrelly on “Loudermilk”, Marc Webb on the CBS pilot “Republic of Sarah,” J.D. Dillard on CBS’s “The Twilight Zone,” and Christina Alexandra Voros in a recurring role on the hit ABC series “Big Sky.”

Presently, Jaycie is a series regular on Hallmark’s mystery series “Curious Caterer.” Most notably, her role as “Katrine” in the Netflix movie trilogy “Ivy & Bean” gave her the opportunity to share the screen with accomplished names like Jane Lynch, Nia Vardalos, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Beyond her on-screen endeavors, Jaycie is fervently dedicated to nurturing the next generation of performers. As the visionary founder of Broadway in BC, she orchestrates masterclasses that focus on the nuances of musical theatre-based auditions as well as helping stage actors transition their talents to the screen. She further spearheads Audition Atelier (A2), an audition sanctuary where film and TV actors converge for audition coaching, self-tape guidance, and reading services. Jaycie attributes her continued success to the unwavering support of her family and friends. She extends her heartfelt gratitude to the casting community and her dedicated representation for all of the invaluable opportunities they have afforded her.
