Andrea Alcala was nominated for the Emmys!

We’re beyond excited to announce that our exceptional NIC makeup graduate, Andrea Alcala, has been nominated for an Emmy Award! 🌟✨

Andrea’s remarkable work in the makeup team on FX’s “Shōgun” has earned her a nomination for Outstanding Period Or Fantasy/Sci-Fi Makeup (Non-Prosthetic) at the 76th Emmy Awards. Her artistry shone in the episode “The Abyss Of Life,” bringing the characters to life with incredible detail and creativity.

This nomination is a significant milestone, reflecting Andrea’s dedication, talent, and the solid foundation she built here at NIC. We’re immensely proud to see her recognized on such a prestigious platform and to witness her contributions to the world of television.

Let’s all celebrate Andrea’s achievement and cheer her on as we look forward to the Emmy Awards. Her journey from our classrooms to the Emmy stage is truly an inspiration to all our students and alumni.
