Brent has been an actor for 45 years. He has appeared in over 200 episodes of TV and film, performed on stage at the world-renowned Stratford Festival, and at many theatres across Canada. Some of his favorite acting teachers have been Ivana Chubbuck, Larry Moss, Patsy Rodenburg, and Mel Tuck. He incorporates all of their teachings into his technique with his students. He was nominated for a Genie and is a winner of a Leo and Tyrone Guthrie award. Brent was also a co-founder of Gastown Actors Studio and has taught scene study and script analysis at VANARTS, New Image College, as well as privately for 35 years. Some of Brent’s favourite roles include Holt in Mystery Alaska with Russell Crowe, Rev Ben in Andromeda, Fertti in Stargate, and Tunnelman Jakes in Snowpiercer.
