NIC Graduate Andrea Alcala Wins Emmy Award for Outstanding Makeup!

We are thrilled to announce that our outstanding NIC makeup graduate, Andrea Alcala (@akristina), has won an Emmy Award!

Andrea took home the prestigious award for Outstanding Period Or Fantasy/Sci-Fi Makeup (Non-Prosthetic) at the 76th Emmy Awards for her exceptional work on FX’s Shōgun. Her incredible artistry brought the characters to life in breathtaking detail, demonstrating her unmatched creativity and skill.

Shōgun made history by winning 14 Emmy Awards at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday night, the most ever for a single season of a television series. Andrea’s contribution to this record-breaking success is a true testament to her talent and dedication.

This Emmy win is a monumental achievement in the world of television, placing Andrea among the industry’s best and shining a spotlight on her immense talent. The Emmy Awards are one of the most revered honors in entertainment, celebrating only the top contributions in the field.
