The NIC / YorkvilleU Pathway is a program designed to give students a diploma in an artistic discipline as a pathway to a Bachelor of Creative Arts Degree from Yorkville University. This program combines the practical business and leadership skills needed to succeed in the create industries.
Graduates of the program will gain a complete understanding of the methodologies, tools and perspectives of their chosen creative industry, including talent management, project budgeting, financial planning, and legal and ethical considerations in the creative arts.
International students that succeed in holding the Bachelor of Creative Arts Degree are eligible for the post-graduation work permit program.

Requirements
Check below general requirements for the pathway program and specific requirements accordingly to the NIC program you will be attending.
Completing an online application form requires:
- Complete full application via the New Image College website
- Pass the English verbal assessment test.
- Upload a copy of government-issued photo identification.
- Upload a copy of your passport (international students).
- Pay the application fee (not refundable – please see refund policies for when it is refundable);
- Must be at least 19 years of age OR have a high College diploma.
- *If under 19:
- Upload a copy of the high College diploma + transcript.
- Submit Parental consent: Upon acceptance, a parent or legal guardian must co-sign the registration.
- Provide for approval a detailed financial plan to cover tuition expenses.
- Complete a financial assessment and various required documents if applying for a government student loan. The final approval for financial readiness will be determined by the result of the notice of assessment that is issued by Student Aid BC.
Prerequisites must be produced during the admission process.
- Film Acting Conservatory, Film Acting Conservatory Co-Op, Film Acting Intermediate and Co-Op Film Acting 1
- Complete a successful audition in front of a panel of acting department personnel.
- Complete a successful audition in front of a panel of acting department personnel.
- Film Acting Conservatory Year Two Program
- Acting diploma from New Image College or equivalent*
- *Equivalent is defined as one of the following:
- 1-year Performing Arts diploma/certificate from a private post-secondary educational institution, OR
- 1-year BFA from any college or university OR
- 2 years of professional experience in the entertainment industry.
- The Cutting Edge – Advanced Prosthetics
- Diploma or equivalent in the field of makeup artistry OR
- Submit a 2,000-word essay and portfolio describing in detail how you are self-taught.

Admissions & Tuition

The tuition fee includes the Beauty Makeup Kit (valued at $2,450). Students are given limitless use of supplies and products to work on each other during the practical portions of the modules that they are attending at the time. The tuition fee doesn’t include basic school supplies (pens, pencils, highlighters, sharpeners, erasers, white-out, tape, scissors, binders, paper, etc.)
