Janvier Katabarwa, born in Rwanda, moved to Montreal, Canada, at the age of 19. He pursued various performance arts, including acting with the Genocide Survivors Students Association (AERG) Theatre troupe Inyambibwa. Inyambibwa’s mission was to commemorate the 1994 genocide against Tutsi.

Starting karate at the age of 11, Janvier demonstrated exceptional talent and became the youngest athlete to join the national team. He also engaged in extensive training in kickboxing, Kobudo, and Judo.

Despite studying accounting, Janvier’s passion for acting led him to Vancouver, where he aims to provide a platform for remarkable stories from Rwanda’s history.

Janvier’s breakthrough performance can be seen in the film “Bullet Proof.” In the movie, he played The Frenchman and performed his own stunts alongside Vinnie Jones and James Clayton. The film was released globally by Lionsgate and IndustryWorks Studios. He is set to appear in the upcoming movie “Briefcase, 8” starring Mena Suvari, Cam Gigandet, Jeffery Donovan and James C Clayton
