Program Overview
Learn How to Make a Short Film is a hands-on filmmaking program designed to guide students through every stage of film creation — from concept and scriptwriting to filming, editing, and final screening.
Over 6 weeks, you’ll explore the foundations of filmmaking while developing real-world skills in writing, directing, camera work, lighting, sound, acting, and post-production. Through guided instruction, collaborative projects, and hands-on production days, you’ll learn how each role comes together to bring a story to life on screen.
A highlight of the program is the 48-hour filmmaking challenge, where you’ll experience the excitement and intensity of producing a complete film under a real-world deadline. Supported by instructors and mentors, you’ll work in teams to plan, shoot, act and edit a short film from start to finish.
This program is designed for both beginners and aspiring filmmakers who want practical experience, creative growth, and a strong foundation in film production.
