Improv class is in full swing for second-year students in NIC’s Film Acting Conservatory — and the energy in the room has been something special.

Improv is one of those training experiences that pushes students to stay present, make bold choices, and trust the people around them. There’s no script to fall back on, which means students have to rely on their instincts, their listening skills, and their connection with their scene partners. It’s challenging, it’s fun, and it tends to bring out some of the best ensemble work of the year.

All of that preparation is building toward something exciting — an upcoming improv show where students will take everything from class and perform it live. We’ll be sharing the date and time soon, so keep an eye out. You won’t want to miss it!
