SFX makeup students created custom teeth prosthetics for a short film production.
There’s a big difference between practicing special effects makeup in the classroom and applying it on a live film set, where the clock is running and the camera is waiting. Recently, our SFX Makeup students got to experience exactly that.
Stepping onto the set of a short film, students brought their special effects skills to life, crafting custom teeth prosthetics and seeing their work hold up under real production conditions. Meanwhile, some of our acting students prepared for their roles and showed up with support throughout the shoot.
Working under the direction of the film’s director, students from both programs got to do what they’ll do in the industry: collaborate across departments to bring a story to life.
We’re so proud to see our students creating together and gaining real on-set experience. Moments like these are where training and opportunity meet.
