NIC’s SFX Makeup students recently showcased two looks built entirely with gelatin effects, putting weeks of technique work on full display.

Gelatin is one of the trickier materials in special effects makeup, requiring careful layering, colouring, and blending to read as real skin and wounds under close inspection. Turning that technique into a finished, presentable look takes patience and a steady hand, and these two pieces reflected exactly that kind of care.

This showcase is only part one, with more looks from the group set to be shared soon. We’re proud of the creativity and craftsmanship on display and excited for round two.
