Every couple of months, NIC gives its Nails students something a little special — a professionally styled photoshoot to showcase their work the way it deserves to be seen.

For this edition, the theme was Valentine’s Day. Students created their nail designs, then had them photographed in an editorial style, the same way you’d see nail work presented in a professional portfolio or beauty publication. It’s a chance to step back from the classroom setting and see their craft presented at its best.

These shoots matter beyond the photos themselves. Building a strong portfolio is a real part of working in the beauty industry, and learning to present your work professionally is just as important as the technical skills behind it. Students leave each shoot with images they can genuinely be proud to share.

The Valentine’s sets were full of creativity, colour, and care — and the photos do them justice. Well done to everyone who took part. 💅💖
