Acting 101

Step into the world of acting with professional training

Learn the fundamental skills that you will use for a lifetime as an actor

The Acting 101 program is designed to provide acting training based on the highest industry standards. This means the student will be prepared to act professionally by doing scene study (read, write and research) including an in-depth analysis of plays, playwrights, characters and notable actors and directors that have made the plays famous.

The program provides voice training, focusing on vocal power and projection, excellent diction and elocution. Also, acting movement and improvisation fundamentals are part of the training so students are able to go deeper in their emotional, physical and text work.

This Program prepares the student with comprehensive training, not only in performance but the skills required to be successful.

Courses Included

The Acting 101 curriculum was designed with the concept of providing valuable knowledge and building core skills for aspiring actors as an introductory program upon which they can build on subsequently.

In life, we speak with intention. Text analysis will teach you how to uncover the meaning behind the written word, focusing on how to be specific with your character’s intentions, and how to bring reality into the fictitious worlds that we create as artists.

The Hero moves, speaks and acts differently than the Villain. This module will teach you how to embody the physical and vocal demands of the character. You will develop an awareness and sense of relaxation, encouraging you to take bold chances with your characterization. For a character to become alive, you have to fearlessly free them from the page.

One of the best ways to learn acting is by using the Scene Study technique. Here we’ll take a deep dive into it and help you unravel your true acting talent.

This is where you’ll be putting everything into action. After all, we are an action-based school.
