Mary Galloway’s ‘The Cowichan Sweater’ gets nominated at the Canadian Screen Awards!

NIC Alumni Mary Galloway gets nominated at the Canadian Screen Awards for Best Documentary Program thanks to her documentary Cowichan Sweater: Our Knitted Legacy.

You can stream the show for free on CBC Gem in the “Absolutely Canadian” Program.

This program was the first documentary of this scale to be made by a Cowichan filmmaker. The entire crew was indigenous, and the majority Cowichan.

This marks yet another milestone for Mary Galloway, whose dedication and passion for telling stories has shine since her time at NIC.
