NIC Film Acting Conservatory Success Story, Andrew Michael Holmes: Turns Up The Heat!🎬

This summer, NIC Film Acting Conservatory graduate Andrew Michael Holmes proved that passion, perseverance, and craft can turn dreams into reality. In August 2025, Andrew stepped behind the camera to create his first independent horror film, Last Mountain, working alongside his agency and creative team to bring the project to life as part of the Snakebite 7-Day Film Festival.

What began as a modest concept quickly grew into a powerful collaboration. Through his training at NIC, Andrew developed the confidence and versatility to take on multiple roles, not just as an actor, but also as a creator. Applying his deep understanding of character, story, and performance, he embraced the challenges of directing, producing, and leading a team of talented artists.

Last Mountain follows a doomsday prepper cult living atop Crystal Mountain, a sacred place they fiercely protect from outsiders. Years into the apocalypse, a group of desperate survivors stumbles upon the mountain, forcing the cult to confront both their beliefs and the horrifying monsters that follow.

With its gripping concept and intense performances, Last Mountain is already generating buzz in the indie horror circuit. For Andrew, this marks just the beginning of a promising journey, one where he’s not just stepping into roles but creating them.
