NIC Film Acting Conservatory grad Nicolas Orellana-De Bané recently took part in a micro-residency for a French-language puppet play, offered by the Conseil culturel et artistique francophone de la Colombie-Britannique (Provincial francophone organization of arts and culture)🙌🏻

The resulting show is expected to tour francophone elementary schools across BC, reaching students from kindergarten to grade 2.

Supported by Metro Vancouver funding, the micro-residency advanced the development of a youth theatre project led by Magda Ochoa of Farandula Theatre, with Nicolas contributing as both an actor and creative partner.

The project also benefited from mentorship by Julie Lebel of Foolish Operations and access to creative spaces generously provided by Carousel Theatre for Young People and The Post at 750.

Nicolas is a trilingual actor (French, English, and Spanish) from Quebec with Chilean origins. He has already performed in two plays in Vancouver, done commercial acting, acted in short films and vertical films, and been interviewed by Radio-Canada (CBC) for one of his plays. He continues to audition in the three languages he speaks, bringing dedication, passion, and range to every role.
