NIC grad Jo Mintz won Best Makeup, Motion Picture at the 2026 Leo Awards for work on Mister Sandman.

Jo worked with the makeup team to build a full monster creature from scratch, along with a range of other looks throughout the film. It’s the kind of hands-on, from-the-ground-up work that starts right in the classroom, and seeing it recognized at this level is a huge moment.
